What you should know about Skin Tanning

On a beautiful Saturday morning during summer, the beach comes to mind for relaxations. You indeed need to allow the sun warm the body and make your skin a little golden brown. On your way to the beach, you caught sight of a man trying to remove the skin of a buffalo, and adding chemicals to it in order to make it into a shoe. That morning was indeed a beautiful experience as you just saw what is called tanning. You saw both the skin and animal tanning.

Let’s now look at the difference between this two types of tanning.

SKIN TANNING

Exposure to Ultraviolet sun ray results in browning of the skin. For some, some machines which provides sunlight can also be used for this purpose. Young men and women are regularly seen at sun beaches and trying to get the warmth and feeling the sun can produce. However, it would be observed that this could cause some adverse effects on the human body.

Some of the disadvantages includes

  • Skin cancer: An over exposure to the sun can make some cells get damaged, and some damaged calls which are important for skin glowing, may begin to have effect adversely on the individual.
  • Skin ageing: For some, the skin begins to get wrinkled, and you begin to look as old as a man above the years of your age. This can affect the sight and vision of a person. Either in the short run, the individual would have an eye defect called photochromism, or in the long run, the person may be partially blind for life.
  • Weakness to immunity: It has been researched that when you overly get exposed to Ultra violet Radiation, then the rate at which the body would be able to fight various diseases would be minimal, and the body would be prone to however other infections that it cannot fight. For those who may have Herpes simplex virus, it may not be treated because of its exposure to the radiation of the sun.
  • Addiction: Tanning makes you enjoy the state of wellbeing and vitality. When taken too far, it leads to dependency and self-reliance on what is not proper.

However, some other advantages of skin tanning includes:

  • Longevity of life span
  • Supply of vitamin D
