Making a Bacon Pasta for Breakfast
This is one essential meal served me while visiting a friend in Britain. He told me of how his mother passed it down to him from his grandmother. So, it is now a family recipe. It is of the healthiest breakfast ever to consume. You will the following items.
1 (16 ounce) package penne
12 -15 slices bacon
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup sliced green onion
Now to the kitchen for a preparation properly. Try and follow the simple steps one after the other.
Step 1: Cook pasta according to package directions; set aside.
Step 2: Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp; remove bacon; reserve 2 T.
Step 3: Drippings in a skillet.
Step 4: Crumble bacon and set aside.
Step 5: Saute sliced mushrooms and garlic in reserved drippings 3 minutes or until tender.
Step 6: Stir in pasta, parmesan cheese, whipping cream, and pepper; simmer over medium-low heat until sauce is thickened, stirring often.
Step 7: Stir in bacon and green onions; serve immediately.
